Every year at Lizzy's school they have a Teddy Bear Picnic. I think it is my favorite day of the year, because it is just so adorable. Every child is invited to bring a teddy bear or special friend from home to join in the picnic. They make hats and name-tags for the bears, and at their special picnic they drink hot chocolate and have bear shaped cookies. I adore the art project they do, which is a recreation of a teddy bear on a picnic. It totally epitomizes what is so lovely about her school- the creativity, the attention to detail, the over-the-top cuteness- it's just the best! I'm surrounded by a ton of cute stuff everyday, and I have to say, there is something pretty wonderful about a class full of children, clutching their special stuffed animals, completely buying into the wonder of a Teddy Bear Picnic. It's so special, and so fleeting, and I'm so thankful I get to be a part of it!
