Oh, the sandbox is just the gift that keeps on giving. Now that we've had some warm afternoons lately, I'll often find the kids busy at work making "cakes" or any other "yummy" variety of food. The other afternoon Lizzy was quite the "chef" while Peter was napping. I loved getting to see all the little creative touches she put into her "baking." Lizzy has such an eye for making things pretty, and I loved the little jewel flower she put on the top of one of her cakes. I love watching her absorbed in her "work," talking quietly to herself as she plays in her own little world. It's such a thrill to see her using her mind and imagination.
I see Lizzy's favorite friend, Sleeping Beauty is right alongside her cake making...so cute! Tonight Caroline was carrying around a babydoll named Sarah. It was so cute to see her mothering something since that has been awhile since it last happened. I LOVE Lizzy's decoration -- she's so creative. :)
