We made our triumphant return to the snow! Last year when we went to the snow, we felt like we were in a blizzard! Peter hated the snow, refused to wear his snow pants, and cried the moment he stepped outside. What a difference a year makes! This year, there was very little snow at the cabin, but 30 minutes up the road, there was a ton. Both kids happily donned their snow clothes, and we were blessed with a magnificently sunny, clear, day, perfect for playing in the snow. And oh, what fun we had! The kids loved tubing down the hills, and giggled and shrieked their delight. We built snow cars (only because that's what Peter requested.....remember the guy loves cars), had a snow ball fight, and even enjoyed tasting the snow! I could feel the happiness and joy coursing through me, because it was one of those days that you can't stop smiling, it's just so fun. You're so thrilled to see your kids having such a blast, and you want to etch the whole thing in your memory in permanent marker as "one of our great days" when everyone was laughing, everyone was excited, and you felt alive with the electricity of it all.
