Peter's Helper Mommy

Last week I was the helper mommy in Peter's class. He was so proud and excited to have me there, I almost couldn't stand it. The last time I was the helper mommy for Lizzy, Peter was pretty jealous, and didn't want to go into his classroom. It wasn't lost on him that now it was his turn to spend some special time just with me (and I was pretty excited about that too). Wow, has Peter changed so much this year! I'm so, so thankful he's had the chance to go to school, to be in such a safe and loving environment that has helped him to grow and mature into a confident, capable little boy. Remember when he would cry so much about going to school, and cling to me in worry? That boy has been replaced by a curious, eager, and excited little guy, ready to explore and play with everything! It was so fun to see him in action- to see his confidence and sureness as he played around the room and fell right into the classroom routine. He just seems like such a big boy now! I'm so very proud of you, Peter:)
