Okay, I know it's the teacher in me, but I thought this was just so cool. The other night I was making dinner and Lizzy starting playing with the magnet letters on the fridge. She started asking me how to spell certain words, then she would look for the letters and put them up on the fridge to make the word. Then I started saying words and she listened for the sounds and made the words. In my mind I thought, "Wow! She's hearing beginning, medial, and ending sounds, and even some vowel sounds!" I know I've given one to many literacy tests in my day, but seeing literacy develop right before your eyes is truly amazing.
