Lizzy had the idea of making gingerbread cookies, so we decided to give it a try. When we were at Grandma's house the other day she dug out a recipe for us, and even had a few cookie cutters that we could use. We made the dough, let it chill over night, and then made our cookies the next day. Lizzy and Peter helped to roll out the dough and cut the shapes. When Peter was sleeping, Lizzy and I put on our best "Martha Stuart hats" and decorated away. For being total novices, I think we did a pretty good job, and Lizzy had a lot of fun making the cookies look "beautiful."
