Papa Makes a Great Playmate

Papa and Grandma came over for lunch today, and of course, Lizzy and Peter were very glad to see them! Elizabeth has an amazing imagination, and she is an avid explorer of everything around her. She loves to look for "treasure," turn over rocks and discover what's hiding underneath, and admire beautiful flowers all around her. Often, Elizabeth will make up stories and adventures and "search" for something that is in her story. Here's why Papa is so great: he jumps right into the adventure, is captivated by the story (no matter how difficult to follow), and wants to "help" to find what you're looking for. Here Lizzy is telling Papa all about a mole that she's looking for, and good ol' Papa is right in there, looking at the clues ready to help out. Papa always takes you seriously no matter how silly you sound- a trait that he bestows upon children and adults alike- and makes you feel like what you say really matters.
