One of the things I just love to do is pack a lunch and hit the park. Today we visited a really fun park with an enormous slide and the kids had a blast! They went down the slide over and over, and had such fun climbing and exploring the playground. There was a huge field next to the park, so we had our picnic there. After we were done eating the kids ran all around the field. They loved the open space, twirling around, and running about. It took my breath away to watch them! What joy, what freedom, what love of life! How wonderful to have a sunny day to sit in a field, spread out a blanket, and enjoy life. It never ceases to amaze me how much children love the world around them! How they are so entertained by the very simplest of things and how they love to observe everything around them. How thankful I am to share these days with my children and husband!
