One of the best things about celebrating your birthday is getting to do all the special things at school. Because Peter has a summer birthday, we always have to celebrate a little bit early, but that's okay. It makes his birthday last a little bit longer- yay! Peter was so excited to get to have his school birthday celebration. We got to bring in the snack (chocolate chip cookies and grapes) and I got to be the helper mommy. Peter picked out a bright orange birthday badge, with lots of sparkly jewels on it. During snack time, he got to open the special birthday mailbox, pull out his birthday card and candle and wind the little music box. He loved that he got to have a "job" that day too, and helped to pass out the plates. Happy Birthday, special boy! We love you!
I really want you to frame that first picture...it is so sweet. He is so proud...so happy...so thrilled to get to have his moment. Birthdays are so special and I'm so glad he got to celebrate big at school!
