Pumpkin Patch Fun

It's that time of year again- the spooky decorations are going up, the days are cooling off, it's getting darker earlier in the evening. It's starting to feel like Halloween, and that can only mean one thing- pumpkin patch time! Now, you can't really go wrong with pumpkin patches. There are hay mazes and tons of pumpkins to look through and enjoy, but the patch we go to with our cousins is by far the best around. Lizzy has been talking about it since last Halloween, and when she figured out it was that time of year again, she could hardly wait. What makes this patch really special are all the baby animals in the barn that you can hold. There are chicks, ducklings, bunnies, kittens, kid goats, a calf, lambs, and piglets. It's a total hands-on delight and the kids are in heaven. There is just something really precious about your babies holding babies. It's a cute overload, but of course I love it. Visiting this pumpkin patch, and spending a special day with our cousins, has become one of our favorite Halloween traditions.
