Now that our friend Drew is in Kindergarten, we don't get to see him that often during the week. Well Drew had a holiday from school yesterday, and we were so excited to get to have a play date with him and Paige. We went to Safari Run, which is basically a big warehouse with a great climbing structure and giant slides. Drew, Lizzy, and Paige went nuts there. They ran around, racing up and down and over and between all the climbing things. Peter had fun climbing and playing for a while, but then took a break to lounge and snack. Even Paige, who was right there with the big kids for a long time, ended up crying, "They just go so fast!" After an hour of play, everyone was bushed. We went to a local diner for lunch. This was Peter's favorite part of the day- a lunch of milkshakes and fries....yummy! We've been having lunch here since all the kids were babies, so it was fun to get a chance to go back and have a "big kid" lunch together (though Peter couldn't stop hugging Drew. Peter's not quite a "big kid" yet I guess). Thank goodness for special friends, fun trips, and yummy lunches.
