Peter and Papa love to play catch. Whenever we visit Grandma and Papa, Peter always brings his ball so he and Papa can go out front and throw it around.

My Sweet Valentines
We love Valentines Day around here! It's probably one of the most fun days of the year at school. Lizzy, Peter, and Catherine worked very hard to make their darling Valentines to share at school. None of that pre-packaged stuff for us. We're the hand-made type around here. And that's no easy task. Lizzy and Peter have huge classes, so they have to pick something they won't get too burned out creating. I loved how all their Valentines turned out! Lizzy made absolutely darling book marks. Peter found great bouncy balls that looked like sports balls, and used those for his. And Catherine, (with some help from me) made some very sweet butterflies. There were parties, and cards, and of course lots of sweets. What a wonderful day! I love you little Valentines!
Ballerinas and Fans
There are, perhaps, few things more adorable than a little ballerina in her tights and pink leotard. I'm a sucker for it every time. Catherine and her friend, Addie, are two totally cute dancers that I just can't get enough of!
Falcon Award Winner!
Peter is a pretty great guy. He's very hard working, he's a great listener, he stays on task and gets his work done. Not only is he great with all his classwork, but he's also very funny, loves to get out there and throw a ball around and play, and a super nice friend. If it was up to me, he'd win a Falcon Award every day, but he has been patiently awaiting his turn. Last Friday, it was finally his moment to shine. Congratulations, Peter! You are a star and we love you!
Lunching and Bowling
We had a half day at school, and it was totally pouring outside. I mean, cats and dogs get soaked the minute you go outside kind of day. We decided to hit our local University for a fun playdate with friends. We grabbed lunch in the cafeteria and then went to the bowling alley. What fun! The alley was dark, with fun lights and great music. The kids all had a blast. With the bumpers up, and a ramp for the little ones, everyone was feeling like a pretty great bowler. We all loved it! What a fabulous, fun way to spend an afternoon with friends.
Spontaneous Adventures
We got a call from Daddy that he had left his wallet at home. He sheepishly wondered if we might swing by and bring it to him. Of course we want him to have his wallet, but "swing by" for us would mean a 20 minute drive each way, and Daddy would probably be too busy at work to even really get to see us. But we did it, we drove down, we saw a smiling daddy who was thrilled for a quick hug in the middle of his busy day, and then we were on our own. What to do? We decided to make a day of it! Catherine and I enjoyed lunch out, and it was wonderful to get to slow down, and listen, and to laugh and joke together. We walked over to a play area where Catherine was thrilled to get to ride the merry-go-round and the train, and she even found an adorable rocking horse to take for a ride. Oh, what joy! Please, always slow down, and enjoy this beautiful world around you. I sure was. I loved looking at those curls, those big, blue, eyes, and that giggling face wandering around enjoying her world.
